In an endeavour to uplift the tribal children in Omkareshwar (MP), a school was established in the year 2001 by Sri Sri Ma Anandmayee Trust. Mainly for Adivasi children below poverty line. Suitable infrastructure was provided for the school by the trust.
Infrastucture:
It comprises of twelve class rooms, one office, two halls and playground.
At present 220 students are availing education in classes KG to 8th Standard. There were 300 students earlier availing education in classes KG to 10th Standard. The paucity of funds painfully compelled us to reduce the number of classes and students.
In the spirit of continuous efforts in endearing our motive, this school needs a helping hand in terms of finances.
We are making all efforts to explore generation of funds by utilization of the infrastructure provided in the Anandmayee Ma Ashram at Omkareshwar. It is situated adjacent to the premises of the school.
We propose to establish a yoga training centre in the 10 rooms available at this Aashram. The training centre would attract visitors who are seeking a serene place in the Island town of Omkareshwar.
This training centre is being proposed as a source of generation of funds to support the school as a long term proposition. For this purpose we have lined up an efficient team as given below.
